The DePue Little Giants won the last time they faced the West Carroll Thunder, and things went their way on Saturday too. DePue strolled past West Carroll with points to spare, taking the game 45-26.
DePue got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Pancho Moreno out in front who scored 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Vance Hayes, who scored nine points.
DePue's win ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-12. As for West Carroll, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-16.
DePue will be playing at home against Newark at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for West Carroll, they will head out on the road to square off against East Dubuque at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. East Dubuque presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Carroll in Illinois (East Dubuque is ranked 312th, while West Carroll is ranked 748th).
