Carol City is 0-10 against Northwestern since December of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Carol City Chiefs will be playing at home against the Northwestern Bulls at 5:00 p.m. Carol City comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 13 points in their last seven games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
Last Wednesday, Carol City took a serious blow against North Miami, falling 41-3. While losing is never fun, Carol City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 611th, while North Miami is ranked 301st).
Meanwhile, after a string of six wins, Northwestern's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of Somerset Academy South Homestead.
Carol City dropped their record down to 0-7 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Northwestern, their loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6.
Carol City was taken down by Northwestern 57-10 in their previous matchup on January 10th. Can Carol City avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
