  Gavin Turner was  incredible,  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances with a  home run, three  runs,  and four  RBI. Another player making a difference was  Owen Green, who  scored three  runs while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile, Millbrook fell victim to Heritage and their airtight pitching crew  on Monday. They fell just short of the Huskies by a score of  2-0. The  contest marked that first time this year in which Millbrook was not able to get on the board.
 Cary's win bumped their record up to 7-2. As for Millbrook, their loss  ended  a  three-game streak of wins at home  and  dropped them to 6-3.
 The batters for both teams will have to hit smart  on Wednesday as both teams have some strikeout artists on the roster. Cary has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 9  strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Millbrook struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 10.1  per game. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
 Cary came out on top in a nail-biter against Millbrook  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2022, sneaking past  5-4. Will Cary repeat their success,  or does  Millbrook have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
