Eight must be Wayne Academy's lucky number: they beat Amite School Center with that score not once but twice on Friday. The Jaguars skirted past the Rebels 8-7. With that win, the Jaguars brought their scoring average up to 6.2 runs per game.

Wayne Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-7 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Amite School Center, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-13.
