River Valley hadn't done well against Chino Valley recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Dust Devils put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 16-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Dust Devils, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Hunter Koehler was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Neufield, who scored three runs and stole three bases.

River Valley kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.

River Valley pushed their record up to 13-4-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Chino Valley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10-1.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. River Valley is set to take on their familiar foe Kingman at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Dust Devils 3.7, the Bulldogs 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned. Meanwhile, Chino Valley will challenge rival Parker at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.
