Stevens Point is 8-2 against Marshfield since June of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Panthers will face off against the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Stevens Point 2.5, Marshfield 3.2) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Marshfield will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Stevens Point extended their winning streak to four on Monday. The Panthers came out on top against Menasha by a score of 9-4.

Aubree Itzen and Callie Diekhus did most of the damage at the plate: Itzen went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Diekhus went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs Diekhus has posted since back in May of 2025. Audrina Placeway also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Stevens Point kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits every time they've taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, it may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Marshfield ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over D.C. Everest. The game was the first time the Tigers have beaten the Evergreens on their field since June 16, 2021.

Stevens Point's record is now 4-0. As for Marshfield, their record now sits at 6-3.

Everything went Stevens Point's way against Marshfield when the teams last played back in May of 2025, as Stevens Point made off with a 13-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
