Knight is 1-8 against Antelope Valley since October of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Friday. The Knight Hawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Antelope Valley Antelopes at 7:00  p.m.
 Last Friday, Knight was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap  as they fell  18-12 to Eastside.
 The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was  David Cova, who rushed for 26 yards and  a touchdown, and also threw for 80 yards and  a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.
 Antelope Valley can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game  on Friday. They put the hurt on Lancaster with a sharp  30-8 win.
 Antelope Valley found their leader in underclassman  Arthur Turner, who rushed for 76 yards and  a touchdown.  Bre McMillan got in on the action  too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
 Knight has  traveled a rocky road recently, as they've  lost five of their last six matches,  which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Antelope Valley, their win  bumped their record up to 3-6.
 Knight suffered a grim  46-20 defeat to Antelope Valley  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2022. Will Knight have more luck at home instead of on the road?
