The Conard Red Wolves''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their sixth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Glastonbury, falling 37-10. Conard lost against Glastonbury in their previous head to head back in November of 2022, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 35-0 score last time.
Conard's loss was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 11.3 points per game. As for Glastonbury, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-4.
Conard will head out on the road to face off against Maloney at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Maloney knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Conard likes a good challenge. As for Glastonbury, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Southington at 6:00 p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Southington is ranked 25th, while Glastonbury is ranked 46th).
