South Davidson had a senior duo take command as Tanner Delattre scored 31 points along with three steals and Peyton Davis scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Delattre has scored at least a third of South Davidson's points. Ethan Peele was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, West Davidson lost a heartbreaker to North Rowan when they met back in February of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. West Davidson fell 59-46 to North Rowan.
South Davidson's win ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-18. As for West Davidson, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season.
Things could have been worse for South Davidson, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 61-46 loss to West Davidson in their previous matchup back in January.
