Despite their loss, Bloomfield saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Peyton Koon, who had 18 digs, nine kills, two blocks, and two aces, was perhaps the best of all. Koon has been hot recently, having posted seven or more kills the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Aniyla Doll, who had 22 digs and three aces.
Chalker not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since August 26th (when they won 3-0). They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over Bristol. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.
While Chalker won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-17, 26-24.
Bloomfield's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Chalker, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Monday's match: Bloomfield has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 11.7 aces per game. However, it's not like Chalker struggles in that department as they've been averaging 13.7 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
