Anson is 1-9 against Haskell since April of 2018 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 5:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a five-game winning streak alive.
It was a proper cat-fight when Anson took on Hawley on Tuesday. The Tigers came out on top against the Bearcats by a score of 7-3.
Kayme Elrod made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over seven innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Like Anson, Haskell also got a great game from a two-way player: Brynlee Stocks. On the mound, Stocks pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Paige Sheets pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. At the plate, Stocks went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double, while Sheets went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. Those stolen bases marked the first that Sheets has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Urijah Livingston was incredible, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Paisley Chavez-Guevara, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Haskell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene only posted an OBP of .182.
Anson's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Haskell, their victory bumped their record up to 9-5.
Tuesday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Anson hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .326. However, it's not like Haskell struggles in that department as they've averaged .380. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Anson couldn't quite finish off Haskell in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 and fell 2-0. Can the Tigers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
