There's no place like home for the Tempe Buffaloes, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They snuck past Apache Junction with a 60-54 victory on Wednesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Tempe also won the last time the pair played two weeks ago.
It was another big night for Ja'michael Keeton, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Kamron Jackson was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 15 rebounds and five steals.
Josh Castro and Omar Adam certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Castro scored 21 points, while Adam scored 18 points. Another player making a difference was Tucker Barks, who scored eight points.
Tempe's win bumped their record up to 11-17. As for Apache Junction, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost 11 of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season.
Tempe does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Apache Junction, they will head out on the road to square off against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Joseph Fulkerson and Castro.
