While Wayne put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Maysville. Wayne blew past Maysville 17-0. Considering the Bulldogs have won six matchups by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Langstyn Mcclendon was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Mcclendon was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Sloan Jackson was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Wayne's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 3-4 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Brody Kemp, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three RBI, one triple, and one stolen base.

Wayne always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .846. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Wayne's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Maysville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season.

Wayne will face off against Ringling at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maysville, they will challenge Mill Creek at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday.
