It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Souhegan Sabers can now relate to. They and Plymouth were almost perfectly matched up on Saturday, but Souhegan suffered an agonizing 21-20 loss. Souhegan was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Plymouth apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
Despite the loss, Souhegan still got an impressive performance from Jayden (JJ) Bright, who rushed for 136 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
Souhegan's defeat dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Plymouth, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-2.
Souhegan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Plymouth will face off against Pelham at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Pelham is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
