It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Countryside Christian Minutemen had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They enjoyed a cozy 37-22 victory over the Wolves. That's another feather in the cap for Countryside Christian, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Countryside Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Samantha Keith, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 21 rebounds. Keith is crushing the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Madelyn Watson was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds.
Countryside Christian's victory bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Saint Francis Catholic, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-6.
Countryside Christian is on the road again on Friday and plays Oak Hall on February 9th. Oak Hall's defense has only allowed 26.4 points per game this season, so Countryside Christian's offense will have their work cut out for them. Saint Francis Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
