The High Tech SD Storm pushed their score all the way to 63 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 73-63 to Mira Mesa. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Friday (61), High Tech SD still had to take the loss.
Despite the loss, High Tech SD still got an impressive performance from Elijah Janoska, who scored 32 points along with seven rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Janoska has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Elijah Robinson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
High Tech SD has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-19 record this season. As for Mira Mesa, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Tech SD won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against High Tech CV at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th. High Tech CV is coming into the contest with five straight wins on the road, meaning High Tech SD will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Mira Mesa, they will be playing at home against Patrick Henry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Mira Mesa knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four matchups -- so hopefully Patrick Henry likes a good challenge.
