Mobridge-Pollock has enjoyed a three-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Todd County Falcons at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Mobridge-Pollock knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully the Falcons like a good challenge.
On Thursday, Mobridge-Pollock strolled past the Broncs with points to spare, taking the game 64-49.
Meanwhile, Todd County's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight defeat. They were the victim of a rough 74-51 loss at the hands of Lakota Tech. Todd County has not had much luck with the Tatanka recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Mobridge-Pollock's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.0 points per game. As for Todd County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-12 record this season.
Mobridge-Pollock beat the Falcons 59-49 in their previous meeting back in February of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mobridge-Pollock since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
