The Taft Raiders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 11th straight loss. They were outmatched by Brennan at home and fell 103-49. Taft was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-22.
Brennan's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kingston Flemings, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. Flemings has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last six times he's played. Talon Todd was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with two steals.
Taft has not been sharp recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-19 record this season. As for Brennan, the victory was the 16th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 22-4.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing O'Connor the next time they take the court. Taft will head out to face O'Connor at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while Brennan will host them at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
