Two dominant guards in Taj Ford and Jonathan Goldson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. Having just played yesterday, the Evans Knights will jump right back in to play the Hapeville Charter Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Evans knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully Hapeville Charter likes a good challenge.
Evans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They took their contest at home with ease, bagging a 85-20 win over Horse Creek Academy. That 85-20 margin sets a new team best for Evans this season.
Meanwhile, Hapeville Charter pushed their score all the way to 56 on Wednesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They received a tough blow as they fell 74-56 to Towers.
Keith Parker put forth a good effort for the losing side as he scored 11 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. The game was his third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Goldson, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds.
Evans' victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Hapeville Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
