The Skyview Wolverines struggled with assists on Thursday (the Thornton Trojans had 13 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Skyview took a serious blow against Thornton, falling 81-43. That's two games in a row now that Skyview has lost by exactly 38 points.
When it comes to explaining why Skyview lost, one person who can't be blamed is Julian Soto. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals. Another player making a difference was Froy Morales, who scored five points.
Leading Thornton to victory were Alex Sandovol and Clayton Jones. Sandovol scored 17 points along with six assists and six rebounds, while Jones scored 25 points along with five rebounds and five blocks. Isaiah Cushing was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with two steals.
Skyview has been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season. As for Thornton, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
Skyview does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Thornton, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-60 loss vs. Highland on the 9th.
