Grayslake North had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Vernon Hills Cougars. The Knights were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Knights were just returning the favor.

While Grayslake North won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-19.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grayslake North will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Lake Zurich at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Vernon Hills, they will take on Lake Forest at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
