Woodlawn-B.R. has been on the road for two straight, but on Friday they'll finally head home. They will take on The Scotlandville Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Woodlawn-B.R. fell victim to Central's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 35-0 to the Wildcats, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, Woodlawn-B.R. can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana football rankings (they are ranked 105th, while Central is ranked 31st).
Meanwhile, Scotlandville had to suffer through a rough 55-23 loss at the hands of Catholic-B.R.
Woodlawn-B.R.'s loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 2-7. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 10.6 points per game. As for Scotlandville, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.
Woodlawn-B.R. came up short against Scotlandville in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 28-24. Will Woodlawn-B.R. have more luck at home instead of on the road?
