Balboa is 1-9 against Lincoln since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Balboa Buccaneers will be playing at home against the Lincoln Mustangs at 2:00 p.m. Balboa will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.
Last Friday, Balboa got themselves on the board against Mission, but Mission never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 30-0 victory over the Bears on the road.
Meanwhile, Lincoln got themselves on the board against Galileo on Saturday, but Galileo never followed suit. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Lions 56-0 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Lincoln.
Jamelle Newman had an outrageously good game as he rushed for 155 yards and four touchdowns on only nine carries. Newman is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was MICHAEL WASHINGTON, who rushed for 85 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries.
Lincoln's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Leading the way was LAZARUS TUALALI and his two sacks.
Their wins lifted both teams to an identical 3-3.
Balboa took a serious blow against Lincoln in their previous matchup back in November of 2022, falling 44-7. Will Balboa have more luck at home instead of on the road?
