The Male Bulldogs will face off against the West Jessamine Colts at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Male is headed into the match having just posted their closest win since April 12th on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Green County 6-4.

Male got a great performance from Miles Flack as he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Those eight strikeouts gave Flack a new career-high.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Camden Angelini, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high.
Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday West Jessamine sidestepped Greenup County for a 3-2 win. The victory continues a trend for the Colts in their matchups with the Musketeers: they've now won three in a row.
Dylan Milholland and Brandt Kidwell dominated on the mound. Milholland didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched, while Kidwell tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Milholland has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Blake Buehner was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. He has become a key player for West Jessamine: the team is undefeated when he posts at least one home run, but 8-24 otherwise. Lucas Poor also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
West Jessamine's win bumped their record up to 11-24. As for Male, their victory bumped their record up to 14-16.
Male's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's game. The Bulldogs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for West Jessamine, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Male continue to outrun the ball?
Male beat West Jessamine 5-1 in their previous matchup back in March of 2023. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Colts have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
