The Community Baptist Conqueror were the 56-43 winner over the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars when they last played one another back in December of 2021, but their luck changed this time around. Community Baptist was outmatched by South Guilford HomeSchool on the road and fell 77-38.
South Guilford HomeSchool found their leader in underclassman Nate Martin, who scored 23 points along with 7 rebounds. The match was Martin's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Micah Newcomb was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists.
Community Baptist's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, their win bumped their record up to 5-8.
Community Baptist will head out on the road to face off against Millers Creek Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Millers Creek Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Thursday. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Greater Vision Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Greater Vision Academy's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
