Tabernacle extended the longest winning streak in Christian (8 Man) this week by beating New Life Christian, 70-38. This was the team's eighth consecutive win.
Victory Christian took down North River Christian 49-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Bryer Bolton threw for 68 yards and three touchdowns and ran for 11 yards in the win.
Logan Jozwiak and Logan Jozwiak gave New Life Christian a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Jozwiak threw for 32 yards and 14 touchdowns, while Jozwiak ran for 171 yards. Quinton Brownfield also contributed to the rushing game with 98 yards on the ground.
Tristan Castro was the best wideout in the league this week as Tabernacle beat Jason Owens' team. Castro tallied four receptions for 45 yards. Austin Hamlett helped Tabernacle's passing attack out by catching one ball for 40 yards.
Tuscaloosa Christian's Jordan Potter and Andrew Mason have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Potter has thrown for 912 yards this season, while Mason, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 14 catches for 328 yards. Wayne Dabbs' team's Judd Sims leads the league in rushing yards with 823.
The marquee game in Christian (8 Man) this week will be the clash between Flint Hill Christian and New Life Christian. The Flames comes into the matchup ranked 18th in the state, while New Life Christian ranks ninth.
The Torches led the league in scoring this week after putting up 70 points on New Life Christian. Castro ran for 135 yards in the win.
