Space Coast received a tough blow as they fell 47-30 to Sebastian River. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Space Coast in their matchups with Sebastian River: they've now lost five in a row.
Despite the loss, Space Coast still got an impressive performance from Taylor Hill, who scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hill has scored all season.
Samiya Adams was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points for Sebastian River. E?mani Pryor was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Space Coast's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-6. As for Sebastian River, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season.
Space Coast and Edgewood will face off at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Edgewood is ranked 272nd, while Space Coast is ranked 275th). As for Sebastian River, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Lincoln Park Academy at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Lincoln Park Academy comes in on ten and Sebastian River on seven.
