It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Out-of-Door Academy ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They skirted past the Braden River Pirates 4-3. The win was familiar territory for the Thunder, who have now won four contests in a row.

Out-of-Door Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Braden River, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

Out-of-Door Academy and Braden River should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. The Thunder will challenge Imagine School at North Port at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (144 vs. 314). Meanwhile, Braden River (ranked 123rd) will meet Lakewood Ranch (ranked 358th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
