Lassiter came out on top against Alpharetta by a score of 63-50. Given Lassiter's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 42nd, while Alpharetta is ranked 147th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Leading Lassiter to victory were Kyhir Torrence and Anthony Venuti. Torrence scored 15 points, while Venuti scored eight points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Jaden Emmanuelli, who scored 12 points along with two steals.
Lassiter is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. As for Alpharetta, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-8.
Lassiter will be playing in front of their home fans against Roswell at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Roswell is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. As for Alpharetta, they will head out on the road to face off against Pope at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Pope is coming into the contest hot, having won their last three games.
