The Collins Hill Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 47-31 fall against Mill Creek. While losing is never fun, Collins Hill can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 116th, while Mill Creek is ranked 22nd).
Several Eagles players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jada Davis, who scored eight points. Paris Fillingame was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Collins Hill has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-10 record this season. As for Mill Creek, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Collins Hill will take on Dacula at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Dacula is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Mill Creek, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Central Gwinnett at 6:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
