Stevenson is on a ten-game streak of home wins, while Lincoln is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Pirates will welcome the Mustangs at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Stevenson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.4 runs per game this season.

Phinn Thomas was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out ten over six innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double.
Thomas wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Hall, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Brady Mugan also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.
Stevenson was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .370 or higher in four consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Lincoln gave up the first runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them down. They were the clear victors by a 16-4 margin over Vacaville Christian. The Mustangs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by six runs or more this season.
Nicholas Chiu and Dexter Palmer did most of the damage at the plate: Chiu went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI, while Palmer went 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Lincoln is undefeated when Chiu posts two or more runs, but 10-15 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Castaneda, who went 3-for-4 with three runs and one RBI.
Stevenson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-8 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Lincoln, their victory bumped their record up to 17-15.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Stevenson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Lincoln struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
