The El Dorado Wolverines entered their tilt with BASIS - Peoria with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. El Dorado came out on top against BASIS - Peoria by a score of 51-41 on Thursday. That's another feather in the cap for El Dorado, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
El Dorado's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Michael Carbajal, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. Those 11 rebounds set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Kamari Brown, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals.
El Dorado's victory bumped their record up to 6-2. As for BASIS - Peoria, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, El Dorado and Canyon State Academy will dust off their jerseys to square off against one another at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. BASIS - Peoria will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pan-American at 6:45 p.m. on January 9, 2024.
