Chesterton won the last time they faced Portage, and Kenedi Bradley did her part to make sure it happened again. The Chesterton Trojans breezed by the Portage Indians to the tune of 52-19 on Friday thanks in part to Bradley, who went 10 of 12 on her way to 25 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2023.

The team also got some help courtesy of Allison Van Kley, who posted four points in addition to five boards and four steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game.

The win was the third in a row for Chesterton, bringing their record for this year to 8-3. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 24.3 points per game. As for Portage, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-6.

Chesterton and Kankakee Valley will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Chesterton is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season. As for Portage, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Hammond Central at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
