Mountain Crest has gone 8-2 against Logan recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Mustangs will challenge the Grizzlies at 3:30 p.m. Mountain Crest will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Mountain Crest took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They put the hurt on Green Canyon with a sharp 13-2 win. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won four matchups by six runs or more so far this season.
Morgan Coulam made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she tossed six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. Coulam was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Dani Alexander, who got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Allee Carlston also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
Mountain Crest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .568. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Logan hadn't done well against Malad recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Grizzlies sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-6 victory over the Dragons. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Grizzlies.
Norah Zundel looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit.
At the plate, Kiki Laing was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one double. Cadence Boyer was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
Logan now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Mountain Crest, they moved to 5-8 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak.
Tuesday's contest will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mountain Crest hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .338. However, it's not like Logan struggles in that department as they've averaged .327. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Mountain Crest was able to grind out a solid victory over Logan when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 8-4. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Grizzlies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
