The Covenant Knights were the 58-49 winner over the Prince of Peace Eagles when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Covenant took a 77-63 bruising from Prince of Peace on Friday. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Despite the loss, Covenant still got an impressive performance from Josh Hook, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hook has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ben Scott, who scored six points.
Covenant's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-6. As for Prince of Peace, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-9.
Covenant will take on Vanguard College Prep at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Vanguard College Prep is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Prince of Peace, they will head out on the road to face off against All Saints Episcopal at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully All Saints Episcopal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Friday.
