The Thurston Eagles are taking a road trip to challenge Summit Academy North at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty run totals in their previous games.
Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. Thurston blew past Romulus 17-1. Thurston hasn't had any issues with Romulus recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive victory against them.

Kosta Haack was a major factor no matter where he played. He struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned run but no hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2025. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs.
In other batting news, Christian Johnson was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Desmond Ferguson was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Summit Academy North came out on top against Henry Ford Academy on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run fifth inning. Summit Academy North walked away with a 10-5 win over Henry Ford Academy.
Like Thurston, Summit Academy North also got a great game from a two-way player: Kody Osborne. Throwing, Osborne tossed three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Amere Lane tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off one hit. Osborne has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits any time he's pitched this season. At the plate, Osborne got on base in two of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases and two runs, while Lane got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Max Itter, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.
Thurston's record now sits at 2-0. As for Summit Academy North, their record is now 3-0.
