If the Cartersville Hurricanes were riding high off their 57-35 takedown of the Alexander Cougars on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Cartersville fell 65-53 to Dalton on Tuesday. Cartersville has not had much luck with Dalton recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Despite the loss, Cartersville still got an impressive performance from Senai Camper, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds. Camper scored a full 30.2% of Cartersville's points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zoie Shiflett, who scored seven points.
Cartersville's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-9. As for Dalton, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a massive bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Cartersville's road trip will continue as they head out to face Cass at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. As for Dalton, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Hiram at 7:00 p.m.
