Softball Recap: North Sanpete Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

While North Sanpete put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Delta. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 16-0 margin over the Rabbits. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by seven runs or more this season.

North Sanpete let Annie Madsen and Makinley Burnside run wild. Madsen went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs, while Burnside went 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those three hits gave Burnside a new career-high. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Madsen, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.

North Sanpete always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Delta only posted an OBP of .200.

North Sanpete pushed their record up to 10-5 with the victory, which was their seventh straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.4 runs over those games. As for Delta, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-16.

North Sanpete will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Rabbits: the pair will be back at it again later today.
