After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Dulaney, the Chesapeake Bay Hawks were happy to have found some success on Wednesday. They secured a 43-37 W over Carver A&T. For Chesapeake, this counts as revenge for the 45-21 loss Carver A&T walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Carver A&T saw an underclassman step up: Elisah Guity scored 25 points along with five steals. Another player making a difference was Laila Brandon, who scored five points along with 17 rebounds and three steals.
Chesapeake's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-8. As for Carver A&T, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-8 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chesapeake will take on Loch Raven at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Hopefully Loch Raven focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Wednesday. As for Carver A&T, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Towson at 5:30 p.m.
