Jackson's win on Tuesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kennedie Cooper, who scored 20 points along with five steals. That's the first time this season that Cooper scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Taliah Cornish, who scored 14 points along with seven assists and three steals.
Jackson's victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 33.45 points. As for Chapel Hill, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.
Jackson will head out on the road to face off against Lithia Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Lithia Springs will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Georgia Rankings (they are ranked 325th, while Jackson is ranked 22nd). As for Chapel Hill, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Banneker at 6:00 p.m.
