The South Jefferson Spartans couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They suffered a rough 61-41 defeat at the hands of Central Valley Academy on Saturday.
Deacon Judd was on fire for Central Valley Academy: he dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Tom Jacquays, who scored 10 points along with 5 assists and 5 steals.
South Jefferson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Central Valley Academy, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
South Jefferson will be playing at home against General Brown at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Central Valley Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Camden at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
