Baseball Game Preview: St. John's Christian Academy Cavaliers vs. Williamsburg Academy Stallions

St. John's Christian Academy hasn't had much luck against Williamsburg Academy recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Cavaliers will challenge the Stallions at 7:00 p.m.

St. John's Christian Academy saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sumter Moorer, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. The Cavaliers are 4-1 when Moorer posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. Mason Ritter also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, Williamsburg Academy strolled into their game two weeks ago with a perfect record and they left with the same. They put the hurt on Dillon Christian with a sharp 13-1 win. Considering the Stallions have won three matchups by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

St. John's Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Williamsburg Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

St. John's Christian Academy might still be hurting after the 14-2 loss they got from Williamsburg Academy when the teams last played back in March. Can the Cavaliers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
