Even though the West Philadelphia Speedboys scored an imposing 66 points on Tuesday, the Constitution Generals still came out on top. Constitution strolled past West Philadelphia with points to spare, taking the game 82-66. The win made it back-to-back wins for Constitution.
Leading Constitution to victory were Perry Fields and Kyree Latimer. Fields scored 19 points along with six rebounds and six blocks, while Latimer scored 29 points along with eight rebounds. Those six blocks set a new season-high mark for Fields. The team also got some help courtesy of Naamir Flowers, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds.
Constitution's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for West Philadelphia, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-4.
Constitution will take on Math Civics & Sciences at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Math Civics & Sciences focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Sunday. As for West Philadelphia, they will head out on the road to face off against Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
