Despite the loss, Fort Bend Kempner saw an underclassman step up: freshman Meghan Lausser posted 14 points and three steals. Lausser has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Olivia Ceballo, who had four points and six rebounds.
Even though they lost, Fort Bend Kempner smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive rebounds. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lamar Consolidated only pulled down eight offensive boards.

Fort Bend Kempner's defeat dropped their record down to 6-20. As for Lamar Consolidated, with the win, they broke their ten-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-22.
