It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hudson had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-7 win over the Schuylerville Horses. The victory was nothing new for the Bluehawks as they're now sitting on four straight.
Gannon Logue was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over six innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Logue wasn't the only one making solid contact as seven players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Ryan Conte, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. That's the most hits Conte has posted since back in April.
Hudson's record now sits at 13-7. As for Schuylerville, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10-1.
As of now, neither Hudson nor the Horses have any future games scheduled.
