Spruce lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Mesoulay Williams, who scored eight points. Williams scored a full 42.1% of Spruce's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Tionnie Williams was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Spruce's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for West Mesquite, their victory bumped their record up to 2-13.
Spruce will be home for the holidays to greet Adams at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Adams is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses. As for West Mesquite, they will head out on the road to face off against Poteet at 1:30 p.m. on Friday. Poteet presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than West Mesquite in Texas (Poteet is ranked 467th, while West Mesquite is ranked 1333rd).
