There's no place like home for Augusta, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 61-30 victory over the Thorp Cardinals. The Beavers' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why Thorp lost, don't look at Ashlyn Abramczak. Despite the final result, she posted 18 points along with eight boards and seven steals. Abramczak is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least three every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Emma Mohr, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

Augusta's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for Thorp, they dropped their record down to 1-6 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.
