Olympian is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. Everything went their way against University City two weeks ago as they made off with an 11-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Eagles considering their one-run performance the contest before.
Alexandra Perez made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched seven innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off eight hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, NiKayla Flowers was excellent, going 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Isabella Zamora, who went 2-for-4 with three runs and one stolen base.
Olympian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in May of 2025.
Meanwhile, Granite Hills was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 16-6 to San Marcos.
Ariana Heninger and Taylor Nash did some serious damage despite the final result: Heninger went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run, while Nash went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those RBI marked the first that Heninger has brought in this season. Jazlyn Thomas was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one run and one RBI.
Granite Hills' defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Olympian, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.
Olympian came out on top in a nail-biter against Granite Hills in their previous matchup back in April of 2025, sneaking past 6-4. Does Olympian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Granite Hills turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
