The Northern Heights Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They snuck past Rural Vista [Hope/White City] with a 50-45 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Northern Heights.
Rural Vista [Hope/White City]'s defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Shaylee Sanford, who scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanford has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Journey Peterson, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Northern Heights' win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-8. As for Rural Vista [Hope/White City], they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-9 record this season.
Northern Heights will challenge Herington at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Herington focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Monday. As for Rural Vista [Hope/White City], they will be playing at home against Peabody-Burns at 6:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Peabody-Burns comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 21 points in their last eight games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
