Meanwhile, Zionsville entered their tilt with Westfield with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Zionsville came out on top in a nail-biter against Westfield on Friday and snuck past 50-48.
Zionsville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Emma Haan led the charge by scoring 17 points. That makes it two consecutive games in which Haan has scored at least 25% of Zionsville's points. Another player making a difference was Caroline Sampson, who scored 7 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals.
Their wins bumped Ben Davis to 3-8 and Pike to 6-4.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Ben Davis have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 31.2 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Zionsville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 30.7 per game. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
